Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Passmetry handles information when you use the website and learning product.
1. Learning data
Passmetry may store study progress, scan answers, practice history, settings, and access state in your browser using local storage or similar browser technologies so the product can remember your progress.
2. Usage analytics and feedback
We may collect limited product-usage events such as page visits, scan starts, scan completion, and feature use to understand whether the product is working and improve the experience. If you voluntarily submit product feedback, we store the rating and feedback text you provide. We aim to avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information in these events.
3. Payments and access verification
Payments are processed by Paddle. Paddle may collect your name, email address, billing information, location, tax information, and payment details as needed to complete a transaction, prevent fraud, provide receipts, and meet legal obligations. Passmetry does not receive your full card number. To verify and restore paid access, Passmetry may process the Paddle transaction ID, purchaser email, and a random browser/device identifier. These are used to verify entitlement and limit a purchase to one active browser/device at a time.
4. Cookies and local storage
Passmetry may use browser storage and essential technologies needed for product functionality, access state, measurement, and security. Your browser settings may allow you to clear locally stored data.
5. Contact messages and sharing
If you contact Passmetry, we store the name, email address, topic, and message you choose to submit so we can respond to your request. We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate the product, process payments, secure the service, comply with law, or resolve support issues.
6. Retention and control
Browser-stored learning data remains on your device until it is cleared, reset, or replaced. Passmetry may retain support messages, feedback, usage events, and access-verification records for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. Payment and transaction records are retained by Paddle according to its own legal and operational requirements.
7. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries different from your own. Where required, those providers are responsible for applying appropriate safeguards to the information they process.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or objection. Rights relating to payment data processed by Paddle may need to be exercised directly through Paddle.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the product, legal requirements, or service providers change. The current version will remain available on this page.
